FRAUD

DO NOT USE BLVD MOVING—ever. I had the worst experience with this company, and I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through what I did.

At first, everything seemed fine, but as my pack-out date got closer, the company became more and more unresponsive. They use the cheapest labor possible, and despite paying $11,00+ for a full-service pack-out, I was suddenly hit with an additional $4,000 charge that had to be paid in cash. The packers tried to blackmail for $6K originally.

My story has too many twists and turns to capture here, but the bottom line is this: they stole items from my household, and I never even got the chance to file a claim for the missing property. At this point, I’ll be filing a formal complaint with the BBB.

This company’s logo should be a snake, because that’s exactly how they operate. Save yourself the money, stress, and regret—do NOT use BLVD MOVING.

Long-distance move from Goodyear, AZ to Sequim, WA

Move from AZ to WA

I would never use BLVD again. I rate them 0 stars. They arrived mid day in June (in AZ.....hot)to load our belongings from 2700sq ft. home. All boxes were moved outside, then the truck left to do another job before actually loading our stuff. When they returned, it was 4pm. It took until 10pm to complete....and we were organized.

Of coarse it cost more than the quote, even though I had called with box counts, questions, updates. there was no real interest in getting the load accurate on their part.

We were informed our belongings were going to be unloaded at their warehouse due to the 10 days between loading and our closing date on new home in WA as they needed the truck for other business.

We were excited to hear when they delivered only 2 days after closing. When they arrived, the first words out of their mouth was "a box is missing" the team could not agree on what size of box was missing....but it was missing,

They had to hire regional hired help and that team left much to be desired. Knowing we had VERY HEAVY furniture, a husband and wife team arrived ....along with their 2 young children. The husband of the team was stacking boxes on a moving dolly so high that it was unsafe. Needless to say, he dropped a box from the top of a stack and broke into tiny pieces a ceramic pot.

Upon inspection of out fine furniture, we found deep gouges in our Ethan Allen footboard to our king bed. Broken door clasp on our Ethan Allen 6 piece desk set, Scratches on the desk set, a gouged whole in the back of an armoire, a broken finial on an antique chair and multiple boxes gouged all the way through. Thank god I packed every box myself (120+) because nothing I packed was broken. Who's to say what would have happened if they packed the boxes.

Let's get back to the lost box. This information was troubling, not only did they act like they didn't care, it was up to me to "put in a claim". That process is wrought with red tape. We did however unpack every single box to try to identify what was missing. We kept our own list, it turns out that a very sentimental wood inlaid plate from Egypt that belonged to my husbands parents was missing as well as place mats and a cutting board liner and miscellaneous items.

We made initial calls with promises made that they would check with drivers, warehouse and other owners that had items on the truck!! They never followed up. We made several calls and left VM without ANY response. It was as if they had our phone number on ignore. My last call was before Christmas, they assured me they would do everything in their power to find that box AND get back to us with in 2 weeks. Well they didn't get back to us and I don't think they ever will. We paid their bill so why should they care.

They are a horrible moving company. I would not recommend them to move a chicken coop!

Official company response

Debra, I am sorry about the damages to your furniture as stated on your binding estimate you opt to only take the basic insurance for 60 cents per lb which it states you had the option to take additional insurance with a 3rd party. I also explained that if you have home owners insurance they will sometimes cover for the damages I do not know if you looked into that but we are very sorry that this did happen to you as for the box that is missing I called all the people on the manifest and nobody had your box and we looked high and low in the warehouse so where your box is I have no idea but we did look and I did call you several times.,

Above and Beyond

We have nothing but praise for our moving coordinator, David. We’d tasked him with the responsibility of planning and executing our commercial move and he did an incredible job at it. He made sure that his crew took great care while wrapping our shop’s items and during transit, he kept us informed as well. Everything went seamlessly because of his efforts. We applaud him!

Long-distance move from North Hollywood, CA to Miami, FL

Nightmare of a Move

I entered into a contract with BLVD Moving (US DOT 2892909) on 5/17/2025 to move household items on 5/21/2025 from a storage facility in North Hollywood, CA 91605 and with an additional stop in Los Angeles, CA 90034 that were to be moved on a truck leaving CA that week to Miami, Florida to be stored at their partner storage facility at 3593 N.W. 19th Street, Lauderdale Lakes, Florida 33311 for 30 days free storage to then be delivered by BLVD Moving on the afternoon of Monday, June 16 between 1-4pm and/or Tuesday morning June 17 between 9-noon to Miami, FL 33130 in order to comply with the elevator reservation required at the destination. This is all in writing. Futhermore, BLVD Moving says that conversations are recorded so this should be able to be confirmed by audio recordings as well. BLVD Moving did not move the items to Miami in the time frame promised. After approximatley 60 phone calls the week of June 16, we were finally informed that the truck had recently left CA and was only in Texas. I had taken off work the week of June 16 to meet the moving truck in Miami. Not only did I waste my vacation time, I incurred the expense of an airline ticket and travel expenses. I left multiple emails and phone calls the week prior to June 16 to confirm that the truck was scheduled to arrive on time. Never did anyone contact me regarding an issue. I was ghosted. The mailboxes of employees at BLVD are constantly full. I also found out that employees use different names so "Helen" and "Tina" are actually the same employee. The items did not arrive until July 1, and they were delivered by a different moving company. I have in writing that BLVD would be the company delivering the goods. And, I had to pay $150 extra as the day of their July 1 delivery as the closest freight elevator to the apartment was broken. It was working perfectly on June 16 and June 17. The company (Ocean) that did the delivery required additional payment before agreeing to unload any of my items from their truck. I was fraudulently sold services that were not delivered upon by BLVD Moving. DO NOT USE. And, put an air tag in a box for any move you so you can see where your stuff actually is.

We wish you all the very best!

My spouse and I have moved multiple times in the past, but this was the easiest move by far. The team communicated clearly every step of the way and kept us update on their progress. They showed up on time and worked efficiently, and also packed up and loaded everything with care. Even the fragile items like glassware and artwork were treated with the utmost respect. We were over the moon to receive everything intact!

Wonderful Company to use During a Typical Stressful Time.

It was the best relocation experience we’ve had in a while! Right off the bat, it was clear we were dealing with pros. They communicated clearly, adjusted to a few last-minute changes without issue, and even helped us move a few items we hadn’t originally included. It’s rare to see this level of flexibility and professionalism from start to end!

I am so grateful to find such a great moving company

I’ve moved more times than I can count, and this was by far my best experience. From their friendly attitude to their military-level precision, I was beyond impressed. They worked fast but carefully, didn’t damage my delicate furniture, and let me ride along in the truck since I didn’t have a car that day. They left my new place spotless, even taking all the packing trash with them. That little detail alone makes them stand out.

I felt bad for the movers because moving day was on one of the hottest days of the year. Throughout, they maintained an air of professionalism, never complained, and kept moving at a steady clip despite the scorching heat. They carefully loaded all of my goods, carried heavy furniture up and down the stairs, and were especially careful with my delicate items. They nevertheless had the strength to wish me well in my new home, despite my exhaustion from seeing them finish.

WORST MOVERS EVER!!!!!

Danny Michaels the sales rep was obnoxious and lied then giving a complete "bait and switch" the day before the move, which turned out to just be a scam. Danny, backpedaling and yelling at me, said I am welcome to cancel and lose my deposit, or agree to pay an additional $790 more than the contract I signed. Next was Brian, who has less of a brain than the Scarecrow for Wizard of Oz, kept calling, trying to gaslight me, making my head spin listening to what an idiot he was. So Sales gets ZERO STARS.

Moving Day- Driver showed up and said he needs another guy and he will arrive in 2 hours but Brainless Brian called again and said they were now charging even more money than yesterday's increase even though the new guy wouldn't arrive for 2 hours, slowing down the move, and saying it is all my fault.....first 2 movers were slow as molasses since they were being paid hourly, and when 3rd guy showed up, my entire family had to work alongside the 3 of them once we realized this 5 hour move will turn into 12 hours, if we didn't start moving furniture alongside them!!!! Finally at the destination, they would NOT UNLOAD the TRUCK until we paid even more money and even tried to claim we never paid a deposit. - THEY ARE ALL SCAMMERS! So Movers - less than ZERO STARS.

STAY FAR, FAR, FAR AWAY FROM BLVD MOVING UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE YELLED AT, GASLIT, AND F&*$Ked as part of your move.......wow....if moving wasn't stressful enough! These guys are idiot con men. DO NOT USE THEM!

A very pleasant and smooth move

Kudos! Thanks for all your assistance. The workers showed up on schedule and did their work promptly, carefully, and courteously. They complied with all the absurd requirements we had to meet to rent this property. The weather was rainy and cold, but Adam and Mark worked the whole time efficiently without resting for a single minute. Our furniture and appliances were carefully packed and loaded initially by Allen. Then Adam and Mark packed all my small objects and placed them in different cartons. A very pleasant and smooth move. Impressive Moving Team.

I was expecting to deal with at least one broken item after my move, but fortunately, everything arrived in perfect shape. I hired BLVD Moving movers after receiving a lot of recommendations from friends and I can definitely see why. AVOID AT ALL COST!

Please don't use this company. Is the WORST experience you will have. They never tell you the truth. They charge u more for the UHALL than want the contract said. Even if there is space for a large truck they will over charge you otherwise you don't get your stuff at delivery. Very unprofessional company. The driver at pick up was trying to get engaged in personal conversations which is very unprofessional. Also they lie to you from day 1. If you want to work with them say your delivery time is the same day or day after, otherwise you will get your stuff 45 days later if you are lucky. They start counting the days after your prefer delivery date. My final bill was 700+ dollars and the driver was trying to charge me $1,900.00 . I explain him everything was paid and the my balance was $700. I had to spend 1.30 minutes or more talking to the company to straight out everything. BAD SERVICE. The worst experience of my life. Please do not use BLVD MOVING. You will lost your mind.

Unsatisfied customer SERVICE

If I could give negative stars I would. This company should not be in business in fact, they should be fined for their bs. My items were picked up on July 20th and still have not arrived. Customer service is Crap, they just transfer you to “dispatch” who put you on hold and then tell you they will have to call you back and never do. Long-distance move from Los Angeles, CA to Dallas, TX

Good service though delivery was by a third-party.

My experience with this moving company was good overall. But there are some important points to be cautious about too.
At Los Angeles, the employees of the company came. They did the packing very well and loaded all the items including furniture which they themselves dis-assembled. The head of the crew did try to extract extra money from me by saying that the carry is more than 75 feet. However, in my agreement with the Sales rep I had secured 125 feet carry as an add-on. Luckily I had papers to show that (email won't do) so he agreed not to charge.

The drop off at Dallas was just an average experience. It was done by a third party, not their employees, and he was very adamant to extract additional money from me. For additional carry and flight of stairs being more than 7 steps. How much ever documents and emails I showed him showing my add-on's with the sales rep, he would not agree. I finally paid him $120 extra for both these things, else I would have not gotten my items. He also flatly refused to assemble two of my furniture items as "they would take too long and I am not going to spend that much time". I tried contacting the moving company, but their phone was coming busy and by the time they got back to me, it was all over.

BLVD is an Acronym for Breakage, Lies & Various Delays

Everything the salesperson told us was a lie. There was no communication between Sales and Dispatch, so the packers arrived a day late, which meant the truck left a day after we did. They promised that the goods would be loaded into their own semi and moved from CA to CT.

Instead, they took the goods to a warehouse, where they remained for over a month. When they realized they would not make it cross country within the federal maximum time, they offloaded the shipment to another mover.

BLVD loaded the other carrier's truck. It arrived on the last possible day without a penalty. Seven pieces of furniture, including four antique family pieces, were broken. Three of the pieces were not repairable. The movers who did the work said some of the furniture was already broken in the warehouse.

We didn't receive a bill of lading in CA, and the copy we received in CT was incomplete.

During the anxious days "in transit," the BLVD staff was defensive, unhelpful, and terse.

It's difficult to imagine a more incompetent and unprofessional company.

Long-distance move from California to Washington DC

BLVD Moving shipped another client's belongings across the US

Do not use this company - they shipped another client's belongings across the entire country instead of mine! I wish I could give this company negative stars.

The items were picked up in Orange, CA on 11/13/21 for delivery in DC. The delivery window is within 21 business days of pick up. But when we checked in to see if the items were on their way, BLVD Moving said that the clock had not started yet. The clock began on 11/20/21. Note: the company only counts business days towards the delivery countdown and subsequent penalty on their end even though they physically deliver on the weekends.

On 12/27/21 (24 business days & 37 full days later), I was told that my items would be arriving between 12/31-1/3. Around 12/30, I was told that my items would now be delivered on 1/8/22-1/9/22 because of snowstorms across the Midwest. I was disappointed but I had a lot of empathy for those truckers working so hard over the holiday combined with the Omicron wave.

I purchased a $55 parking permit for 1/8 and 1/9. I was assured on the morning of 1/7 that the delivery was on time. I got a call at 8pm that night that the truck driver would not arrive until Monday 1/10. I couldn't apply for a new permit so I had to pray the city wouldn't ticket me.

On Monday 1/10 (32 business days & 51 full days later), the mover arrived. I stood in my apartment as they brought in the mattress. I looked at the mattress and my heart sank. "That's not my mattress." "Yes, it is." "No, it's not. That's a king. I own a queen." I went downstairs with the mover and he opened the back of the truck. IT WAS NOT MY BELONGINGS. The 2 movers began pulling things out and asking if they were mine, which they were not. But a bar code with my father's name was on all of the items! They called the front desk & 5 minutes later I got a call - "How do you know it is not your stuff?" "Were you there the day they loaded your things?" The company was immediately shifting the blame onto me! My parents were there the day the items were loaded and almost all of the items had a homemade tag of my name, phone number, and Washington D.C. Omar called me back soon after & asked me to give him an hour to figure out what was going on. I felt numb and violated - having no idea if ALL of my worldly belongings were lost!

Omar called back to let me know that my belongings were in their warehouse. On the day of pickup, the original mover had switched the tags between my job & another person's job. When the items arrived at the facility, there is no checking system to ensure the tags are correct. No cross-reference with the item checklist. My items include a large cat tree, but the items tagged with my name included weights and a stationary bike. No one noticed when unloading or reloading the trucks. Omar told me this was the first time something like this had happened. But when I said, "I need you to be with my items as they are loaded into the truck because I fear not everything will make it." He replied, "There are so many things to fear in the world. This shouldn't be one of them." The audacity!!! His company literally shipped someone else's belongings across the continental United States & he chose to be condescending at that moment?!

I was told I would know on 1/12 when my delivery would be. I wasn't told until 1/24. I received a photo of my items being loaded. The driver left on 1/25. On 1/29, my items arrived in Washington, D.C.. BLVD Moving didn't even update the tags/barcodes to my information! It still has the tag of the other person whose things were originally delivered to me.

BLVD Moving's guarantee for this distance delivery is 21 business days. My clock began on 11/20/21. That would make delivery due on 12/22/21. I waited 38 full days AFTER my delivery date. $30 off per business day from 12/22/21, but no discount beyond that.

My experience was not an accident - this is indicative of how BLVD Moving operates. They are unprofessional, unorganized, and should be out of business.

BEWARE

The moving team showed up unprepared for the job. The lead, Freddy, wasn't aware they were showing up for a full move and seemed annoyed that they were there for a bigger job. The areas he packed himself looked great when I unpacked but the boxes packed by the other 2 people were completely careless and also stole valuable items. I had called the day after the pack to ask why they showed up not knowing what they were there for as well as let them know I was disappointed in the state things were left. Empty tape rolls were literally everywhere along with their personal messes left behind. Plus I was now being charged for more expensive boxes that I didn't want because they would weigh too much to move myself once at my final destination. The manager David completely dismissed my concerns and told me to conserve my frustrations because it could get so much worse if they lose or break my things. Once it began to feel like there could be retaliation against airing my concerns I hung up.

Fast forward to 3 weeks later and most of my furniture arrived damaged. Legs were missing and/or broken off of multiple pieces of furniture, my boxspring was completely missing, my mattress ruined. They also took my power tools, valuable jewelry and some family heirlooms.

I'm currently going through a claim process but will never get back the emotionally valuable items that were irreplaceable.

DO NOT USE FOR MILITARY MOVE

This company promised me my weight tickets because I need them to be reimbursed by the Marine Corps. They didn’t get me my weight ticket with all my stuff loaded on the vehicle and upon asking for it they just said we don’t have it. They essentially just forgot even though I was told by the movers that they have to weigh my stuff an hour after they get it loaded onto the truck. That was a full on lie or they just don’t care about their job and what they are doing. I have called this company over a dozen times in the last 2 months and I just keep getting told sir I’ll get back to you. I am very polite but a person only has so much patience. I am currently in the process of suing if I will not get a refund because I paid to have those weight tickets given to me and they were not.

A Horror Story

As a recent customer of Blvd Moving, I feel compelled to share my experience to inform and caution others. I am a veteran who recently transitioned out of the military and secured employment with a defense contractor in Syracuse, NY. For my relocation from California to New York, I chose Blvd Moving, attracted by their initial reasonable quote.

However, the moving process turned out to be fraught with unethical practices and extortionate demands:

Misleading Initial Quote: The moving process began with a seemingly fair quote of around $5,000. However, this drastically changed post-loading of my belongings. The final bill was inflated to approximately $15,000 – nearly three times the original quote.

Inflated Charges and Fabricated Volume: The company unjustly inflated the moving costs by claiming additional volume and adding bogus fees. Despite reducing the number of items to be moved significantly (donating 65% of my belongings), the company charged for 662 additional cubic feet at an inflated rate.

Unethical Practices and Coercion: The moving team employed various tactics that seemed aimed more at benefiting themselves than assisting in the move. They showed interest in the items I had set aside for donation, creating confusion and disorder. Furthermore, they dismantled appliances without properly securing them, causing a water leak and leaving a door unhinged.

Hostile and Aggressive Communication: Post-move, the company's communication turned hostile. They bombarded me with daily calls and messages, threatening to auction off my belongings if I did not pay the exorbitant fees, including fabricated storage and redelivery charges.

Impact on Personal Life: This ordeal has significantly impacted my personal life. Essential documents and belongings are still in the company's possession, hindering my ability to settle in my new home and causing immense stress and inconvenience.

Lack of Transparency and Professionalism: The movers did not provide essential information as required by federal regulations, including the “Your Rights and Responsibilities When You Move” booklet. The bill of lading also contained incorrect information, adding to the confusion.

My goal in sharing this experience is not only to express my frustration but also to urge others who might have faced similar issues with Blvd Moving to come forward. Collective voices can better highlight the company's practices and serve as a warning to potential customers.
